About the Role

  • As an e-Learning Design Lead, you’ll lead the design and development of e-Learning courses in the Articulate 360 software programs. You will also be responsible for providing training, instruction, technical feedback, leadership, and problem solving for your team members.
  • Leveraging your technical experience, you’ll ensure that the design and development of courses are aligned with sound educational and psychometric principles. You will coach team members regarding the practical application of instructional design principles and practices.
  • You will be expected to participate in the planning of the Service Unit or Team activities, to ensure that they play an active part in achieving the goals without causing work overload or imposing conflicting demands, including deadlines. Working with the e-Learning Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for the administration and coordination of the process of all production steps, design, development, and quality assurance of English and French e-Learning courses.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a post-secondary diploma with a focus on adult learning principles, online course design (instructional design), learning psychology, and/or evaluation (psychometrics).
  • At least eight (8) years of recent related experience as an Instructional Designer, Developer, designing and developing learning content, technical writing, quality assurance and/or production role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced specialist knowledge and experience with applications including Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise, or other online-learning production tools, course coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SCORM), audio recording/editing tools (Adobe Audition and/or Audacity), graphic and video design/editing tools (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects), accessibility tools, as well as tools such as Blender, Adobe Animate, Smartsheet, word processing and spreadsheet software are required. Must be comfortable learning new software.
  • Expert knowledge of the field of Instructional Design.
  • Expert knowledge of adult learning principles, pedagogical learning, and the ability to practically apply those principles in the design and development of learning content, and the delivery of in-house training and on-the-job instruction to team members.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Project management skills with proven ability to plan and execute project plans.

Salary

Within the range of

$102,709 to $124,459 (CCOHS-11) per annum.
